What’s more, RecordPad supports customizable keyboard shortcuts operation, and is able to record sounds from a variety of sources on the computer as MP3, WAV, AIFF format of audio files. In particular, the whole recording process can be performed in the background! Moreover, it allows user to set the maximum duration for a single recording file (when the time is out, it automatically saves the recording file, creates a new one to continue recording, or just stop recording), or to record all the time, until it runs out of your entire hard drive space. You are allowed to set the sensitivity of sound induction, then RecordPad automatically starts recording when it detects some sound with the specified minimum volume through a microphone, and automatically stops recording after recording no sound for a specified time interval.
