I'd say Makoto if you are making a choice between the two. So it just comes down to whether you want your gf to be more responsible and smarter or sexier and funnier. Problem with Persona 5 is that Makoto shows her softer and sweeter side very often (unlike Senjougahara and Kyoko) so it is really hard to choose between her and Ann. The thing is, you don t have much of a choice because these two are linear franchises. In Danganronpa, you have Sayaka (the sweet one who openly shows affection) and Kyoko (the tough one who will push you to your mental limits for your self-improvement). In Monogatari series, you have Senjougahara (the tough one who will stab you to death if she doesn't like something) and Hanekawa (the soft one who is gladly ready to die and lewd herself for you). The soft VS tough thing was always a waifu clash. Either do both or try to analyze each character and decide which trait you prefer the most. If you like tougher and smarter girls, go for Makoto If you like softer and sweeter girls, go for Ann
