Therefore if you increase the sampling rate of the encoder over the input's rate, it has to make things up) All the information between 2 of those readings is lost in the digital signal. (i.e.: If your Mp3 input comes in 44.4kHz that means when converting the analog audio signal to a digital signal, someone sat there and checked the current value of the analog signal 44400 times per second. Sampling rate is a metric for the ADC and should never exceed what your input material is delivered in. Sampling rate is given in Hz, bitrate in bits per second. I'm more looking at the sampling rate, though. couple of pounds of chicken which depletes the heat fairly quickly down into the 200s and it takes a while to get it back up to fry temps. The bitrate is taxing both your CPU and bandwidth (as it needs to convert whatever is your input format into whatever is your output format). At times, the deck will pause and not play anything for a few seconds. For whatever reason, whenever and ONLY when I have Live DJ's connecting to my DNAS server which I installed as a Windows service on my main broadcasting server, the Meta window in the SAM deck is always saying buffering, goes away for a sec, says buffering again and vice versa. Speeds both up and down are over 750mb and pings typically excellent.
